This has been a yearly event and the Mathematics Unit headed by Madam Aw Yang Ai Shin is happy to announce that this year event is equally exciting and eagerly anticipated by everyone involved. Due to the constraint of time students are not forced to participate, however, the educational aspect of it is highlighted and attractive prizes are offered to encourage a respectable level of participants in all the events. On another note, the Co-curriculum Unit is also the co-organizer for the A-Math-Zing Race event. The head of the Co-curriculum, Mr. Zamsyaril Bin Halib was very kind in allowing the possibility that the certificates given to participants in the A-Math-Zing Race event could be considered towards amassing important marks for their co-curriculum activities. This year the Mathematics Week is supervised by one Mr. Syed Azrinizal bin Syed M. Damhuri and Miss Norzaireenwati binti Said as the hardworking secretary. The Mathematics Week is to begin on the 14th of July 2008 and ends on 18th of July 2008. The whole week would start of with the preliminaries on “Mathematics Quiz” competition amongst tutorial groups followed by opening up “Math’s Clinics” at the third levels. Competitions on designing the best logo for the Mathematics Unit and also the Cross Number Puzzle event are in the offing. In the afternoon of the last day, the interesting A-Math-Zing Race is on. The culmination of the Mathematics Week would be the FINALE OF THE QUIZ COMPETITION in the evening at the Dewan Mutiara (Mutiara Hall). SEE YOU THERE!!! |
